Nature of the information, and liability

This site is an aid to understanding your blood test results. It is not a medical consultation, does not make a diagnosis, and does not replace the GP or doctor who requested your tests. What it produces is the reading of a document, not a medical opinion on your health.

The content is written with care and referenced, but medical knowledge changes, laboratory practices differ and no page can take your medical history and your treatment into account. Smart Medical Care SAS cannot be held liable for a decision taken solely on the basis of a page of this site, nor for any interruption of the service.

If you have symptoms that worry you, or if your GP surgery, hospital or laboratory has contacted you about a result, that is a matter for them and not for a website.

This notice is governed by French law. In the absence of an amicable settlement, disputes fall to the competent French courts.

If you are a consumer living in the UK, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory rules of UK consumer law, nor your right to bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK where you live (Civil Jurisdiction and Judgments Act 1982, section 15B).
